Surevue contact lenses: two-weekly or monthly?

I told my optician I wanted monthly contact lenses and she recommended
Johnson & Johnson's Surevue. I bought them, but when I got home I saw
on several sites, including their official website, that Surevue are
only two-weekly contact lenses. Have I been conned? Can I wear them
for a month? If not, does that mean J&J don't offer any monthly
contacts? And also, are there any monthly contacts that are
considerably better than Surevue/which are the best?
    Thanks very much.

I am told that J&J intends to phase out Surevue. Perhaps someone like
LarryDoc can confirm this. In any event, Surevue was originally developed
to be the better handling, daily wear version of their disposable lenses,
priced the same as Acuvues, and therefore having the same replacement
    schedule.
