Tell me once and for all, is the 1 DAY ACUVUE lens identical to the ACUVUE 2 lens in its properties?

are these lenses only packaged differently ? so this means that the 1
day acuvue lens can be worn for up to 2 weeks ??

Why not ask J&J directly by yourself?

 

'cause they may lie to me saying that this isn't the same lens, 'cause
they can be sued for selling the same lens repackaged ???? and because
they want me to use the lens only for one day instead a few days ???

The simple answer, once and for all Tom is:

They are not,

The "package them differently and sell than at different prices" scam
was tried and some CL manufacturers got caught and paid a penalty.

So they are not identical in all properties. Want to know what's
different?

1. base curves
2. diameters
3. peripheral bevel
4. edge design

What's the same:
1.plastic
2.water content.
3.center thickness
4.oxygen transmission

Can you wear them for two weeks?
A better question is "would you want to?" Can you wear the same
underwear for a few extra days? How about your socks? Sure you could.

Bad example. I wear my socks and underwear for years, until they wear
out. However, I wash them after a day's use, just like contacts.

 

I agree... it isn't a good example... but still, thanks for the
replies!
SO now i wanna know, which is the following contacts: ACUVUE, ACUVUE2
or 1-DAY ACUVUE , is the most comfortable considering the majority of
patients ??? I now wear focus night and day BC 8.4mm and very
satisfied with them , but still wanna check the acuvue contacts before
i decide that the n&d contacts are the best i've ever tried. in
addition, the N&Ds are very expensive... comparing to other contacts
in the market nowadays.
