    Any ideas?
New TFT monitor v painful to use, despite reasonable dynamic range of
contrast & brightness. According to what I've read TFTs are better in
    this regard than CRT

But it is too uncomfortable to work with, so I'm returning to using
    the old tube monitor.

Why should a flat monitor be very painful for me, when a tube monitor
    is not?
    Any guesses?
Any ideas where I can look for the information?

    What are the differences?
    Brightness range,
    Color range,
    Contrast range,
    reflectivity/glare,
    Size (17" vs 15")
    Flicker (none in TFT)

Subjectively, I'd describe it as a harsher light, but that's not
    meaningful in a scientific way.
    Thanks
    Tony
