So what do folks here think about Transitions? (the lenses that are
clear inside and get dark outside) I hear the latest version VI are
much improved over those of years ago. Are they worth getting?

Before I started wearing contacts, I had Photogrey with glass lenses, then
Transitions when I moved to plastic lenses (~12 years ago or so).

As with Photogrey, the lenses never get perfectly clear indoors, but nearly
so. Transitions had a brownish tint, while Photogrey was more neutral, but
otherwise, I found no difference between them.

I definitely liked both better than clipons or covering sunglasses.

They come as either grey or brown now. They claim their latest version,
Transitions VI which came out last year is improved and does get clear
    indoors.
