Hi, I just got fitted with the about to be released Acuvue Advance
lenses and I must say these lenses are great. I have mild dry eyes and
have tried numerous lenses in the past, the list includes ( Pro-clear
compatibles, Purevision, Ciba night and day, Acuvue 2 and all the one
day disposables). Contacts I was wearing before trying these Acuvue
    advace were Acuvue one day.
About the lenses now, I dont have the packaging since the OD inserted
the lenses, so I dont know the BC and the diameter of the lenses.
These lenses suppose to be made of silicone, but while handling they
seem to feel a little diffrent from Focus Night&Day.
My first day with the lenses, I ended up wearing these lenses for 14
hours, because of extra work, but to my surprise the lenses did'nt
bother me at all, I did'nt have to use rewetting drops, my eyes did'nt
turn red and they did'nt bother atall.
On the second day now and the lenses feel great, my eyes use to turn
red wearing other lenses, but not anymore and the lenses dont seem to
    dry out.
This got to be the best lenses I ever tried, but still it's only the
second day and others experience might be diffrent than mine.

  2. Sam, you're the second person I've heard give such a favorable report
with the Acuvue Advance. I was tempted to try them myself when I was
offered to participate in a pre-market trial, but I was disappointed
to learn that they are not intended for extended wear, so I didn't
bother. I can't wait until Acuvue releases a lens that is true
competition for the Focus Night & Day, and Proclear Compatibles (I get
the impression they're on the way soon). This is going to be a very
exciting time in the contact lens market.

As for the diameter and base curve of the lenses you were fitted with,
the diameter would have been 14.0, and the base curve would most
likely have been exactly the same as what you were using with your
    Acuvue II's.
