WANTED: Volunteers to test an on-line glaucoma screening software

Discussion in 'Optometry Archives' started by Vladimir Makarov, Aug 9, 2004.

  1. I am looking to recruit a group of volunteers to test a perimetry
screening software that has been developed very recently by Peristat
Group LLC, a California start-up company. The program with
instructions is posted at www.keepyoursight.com. It allows users to
complete a visual field examination on-line and to receive a review of
results by an ophthalmologist. This screening test is safe and
painless. It has already been clinically evaluated and registered by
    the FDA.

Voluteer reviewers will be asked to carefully go through the web site,
including the on-line test and all related e-mail communication, and
to fill out a brief survey.

Participation is free. Peristat Group LLC will reimburse participants
    for the cost incurred.

The company is particularly interested to hear from individuals in the
risk groups for glaucoma, or from those who are already diagnosed with

Between 20 to 30 people are needed for this study.
I will post another announcement here once the desired number of
    participants is reached.

If you would like to volunteer, please e-mail to
    for details.

    Thank you very much.

Mozilla 1.8 and Netscape for linux wouldn't work. Opera allowed me to
take the test, but the 'exit' link at the end of the test was missing
and I had to shut down Opera. OK, I tried it again with Opera and the
'exit' link in full-screen mode was just almost off the screen at the
bottom, but there was just enough to click.

Very like the real thing, although I don't get a NEW MAIL popup at my
    ophthalmologist's office :-(
